On 6 February 2024, Director for CIMT, Mr. Amri Bukhairi Bakhtiar, welcomed a delegation from Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) and their Halal Blockchain Partners. The delegation was led by Mr. Muzailin Affan and accompanied by Mr. Rahmad Dawood, Mr. Wahyu Hidayat, and Mr. Munzir Almunir. In addition to the representatives from USK, Ms. Amnah Shaari, Ms. Intan Suraya, and Ms. Nor Izyati Md. Rahmi from Serunai Commerce were also present. The meeting discussed the halal blockchain project which aims to build capacity among IMT-GT universities on halal assurance concepts and technology, with the potential involvement of industry stakeholders.
